Walk-in coolers and freezers
For a walk-in that is warming or icing up, the inspection can cover airflow, fans, defrost operation, drains and door hardware, together with the evaporator and condensing equipment. Note whether the door closes fully and where ice first appears.
Reach-ins and refrigerated display cabinets
We service upright storage cabinets, one- to three-door reach-ins and glass-door merchandisers. Tell us if the whole cabinet is warm or only certain shelves, and whether the unit runs continuously or repeatedly stops.
Prep tables need two temperature observations
For sandwich, salad or pizza prep refrigeration, describe the ingredient pans and the cabinet beneath separately. Inspection may cover lids, drawer and door seals, air paths, fans and controls. This helps explain a problem that affects one part of the table more than another.
Making a repair decision
Temperature changes, water, frost and noise are observations, not proof of a failed compressor. Diagnosis can distinguish airflow, drainage, door, control and refrigeration-system issues. Ask which findings support the proposed work and whether maintenance conditions are contributing to a repeated fault.
