Freezing and defrost must both work
A freezer needs effective cooling and, where fitted, a working defrost system. Ice, blocked airflow, sensor faults or drainage problems can affect performance. The appropriate checks depend on the model and its defrost design; a fault should not be diagnosed from a single temperature reading.
Match the repair to the cabinet and installation
A walk-in room and an undercounter freezer can share symptoms but differ in access, controls and components. Cabinet doors, gaskets, evaporator fans, condensing equipment and drains are assessed in the context of the installation. Model and serial details help identify the correct parts.
